Kimberly H. Bruce is the senior paralegal at
Mandour & Associates. Ms. Bruce has a degree in management
from the University of Hawaii and received her paralegal certificate from
Kapiolani College. Ms. Bruce has over ten years of experience as a
paralegal, seven of which are in the trademark and copyright practice
areas. Ms. Bruce has extensive experience managing foreign and
domestic trademark portfolios.
Ben T. Lila is a patent and litigation
attorney. Mr. Lila received his Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark in
2006, and his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the
University of Rochester in 2000. Mr. Lila has extensive litigation
experience and has prepared and assisted with the prosecution of
more than 70 patent applications. For the firm, Mr. Lila
focuses on all types of patent prosecution and intellectual property
litigation.
Daryl A. Basham
is a patent attorney. Mr. Basham received his Juris Doctorate from
George Washington University in 2004, received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry
with an emphasis in molecular biology and gene expression from Howard
University in 1989, and received his bachelor of science in microbiology
with a minor in chemistry from Howard University in 1982. Mr. Basham
has prosecuted over 125 patent applications and has examined over 300 more
as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the
biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and chemical fields.
Gordon E. Gray is
a patent and litigation attorney. Mr. Gray received his Juris Doctorate
from Loyola Law School in 1994, and his bachelor of science in engineering
from the University of Illinois in 1991. In addition to substantial patent
prosecution experience, Mr. Gray has over 15 years of litigation
experience including patent, trademark, unfair competition, and copyright
cases, particularly temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions,
patent reexaminations, depositions, and trials. For the firm, Mr. Gray is
responsible for all aspects of intellectual property litigation and U.S.
and international patent prosecution in a variety of fields including
mechanical, electrical, software, and business methods, among others.
Joseph A. Mandour is the managing attorney at
Mandour & Associates. Mr. Mandour received his Juris Doctorate
from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University in 1995. He has
almost 15 years of
experience assisting clients in the areas of intellectual property. Mr. Mandour has coordinated or
prosecuted hundreds of applications and registrations in the United
States and throughout the world, and has resolved and litigated matters
against Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Mandour focuses on the big picture
for clients in creating, exploiting, and protecting all forms of intellectual property (including
patents, trademarks, copyrights, and
trade secrets).
